Last night there were vigils for Suicide Silence singer Mitch Lucker, who died Thursday from serious injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash.

I attended the one here in Riverside, with a number of longtime friends of Lucker’s at Back to the Grind.

Rodrigo Pena, who photographed Mitch and the band the last time they played the Mayhem Festival, back in 2011, captured some images from the event.

Videographer Chris Ercoli was also with me.

These types of things are not easy to cover. I want to send a special thank you to Jacob Cato for allowing us to come out and document this.

There was also another vigil at the crash site in Huntington Beach. We weren’t able to attend that one, but I did try to capture some of the images and sentiments those who were in attendance shared.
