AUDIO FILES: Listen to Supergrass, You Am I

Shake off that election hangover whether you are celebrating victory or drowning the sorrows of defeat with some dancing today.

First, I present Supergrass. “Alright” is poppy fun, which you also might remember from the movie “Clueless,” and the band’s album “I Should Coco” is still a classic of the ’90s.

I love the references to “The Monkees” in this video, too. Sadly, Supergrass broke up in 2010. I’m still holding out hope for a Coachella

My second track for today is “Rumble” by Australia’s You Am I. I first came across them when I was in Sydney, working at Australian Rolling Stone in 2002. Their “No. 4 Record” is one of my favorites in my collection.

Fun fact: this song has a chant at one point that goes “RONNIE JAMES D-I-O.” You can never go wrong with a Dio reference.
