Let’s settle into this rainy Friday evening with some incredibly talented local musicians.
Nicole Pond and Spiro Nicolopoulos are the crux of The Paper Crowns, a folk-inspired combo whose songs range from bluesy to rootsy Americana to rock. Both are incredibly talented as songwriters (you might remember Nicolopoulos from the dearly departed Rolling Reunion) and they recently put out their album “See You Tonight.”
They recorded and mixed the album at home in Devore and took on all of the instruments except for the drums on a few tracks.
They are playing Saturday, Dec. 1, with a full band at The Vault Martini Bar in Redlands and Eva and the Vagabond tales are opening the show. The show is at 9:30 p.m. and is free for guests 21 and older. The Vault Martini Bar is located at 14 E Vine St. in Redlands.
My favorite song off their debut is the title track, “See You Tonight.”
Here’s “Long Time Comin’, ” which actually isn’t on this album, but has a cool video.
