Suicide Silence made a special appearance at California Metalfest VI in San Bernardino on Saturday, Nov. 24 to honor the memory of late singer Mitch Lucker, who died Nov. 1 after a Halloween motorcycle accident in Huntington Beach.
Suicide Silence will have a memorial show for Mitch Lucker at the Fox Theater in Pomona on Dec. 21. The band will be playing with a different singer on each song. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be $25-$35 in advance and $40 at the door.
The Riverside band was supposed to perform at the festival before his death. However, they did go on stage and thanked fans for their support and for donating to the education fund of Mitch’s daughter, Kenadee Lucker. The crowd chanted Mitch’s name as the band spoke to them.
Here’s the full announcement from the band on YouTube. Warning–there are some curse words if you’re watching with younger ears around.
The concert on Dec. 21 will benefit Kenadee Lucker’s education fund. You will be able to purchase tickets for the Mitch Lucker memorial show online at Ticketmaster. The show is all ages. When you purchase tickets, you can select General Admission Floor (standing) or General Admission Balcony (unreserved seats). If you choose Balcony you don’t get floor or pit access. Pit wristbands are distributed to fans with GA floor tickets on a first-come first-served basis.
