On the fourth day of December, I decided to finally take this a little more seriously. My dad’s all-time favorite Christmas song is “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” by Nat King Cole.
Whether it was on vinyl, a busted cassette or later a CD, the one constant that is always a part of a Franko family Christmas is Nat King Cole.
Anyone out there actually roast chestnuts on an open fire? Is it difficult to do?
Nat King Cole isn’t just a holiday-time treat, though. He had his own TV show in the 1950s. Here’s “When I Fall in Love” from his show.
Below the Wham! Christmas photo you can keep up with all of the other artists I’ve been writing about this month:
Wham! The other outtakes from the “Last Christmas” single are even more disturbing. (Contributed Image)
