Temecula singer-songwriter Lee Koch is taking listeners through the story of his forthcoming album with two special hometown shows at The Merc at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater on Saturday, Dec. 8.
It will be a bit like VH-1’s “Storytellers,” where Koch will give the audience the backstory and the inspiration for each of the songs in the set list inside the intimate venue.
There will be two shows, one at 7 p.m. and another at 9 p.m.
Koch will be performing all 12 songs from his new album. As for his new record, he just wrapped up recording and sent the music off to be mixed. The official release date will be in the spring.
He also recently recorded four songs with The Grinders, which he described as different from what his upcoming album will sound like. Those tracks are available at www.leekochmusic.com.
You might recognize Koch from season two of “The Voice,” but he’s been up to plenty since then. Check out my interview with him from this fall to read about what he’s been up to.
7 and 9 p.m. Dec. 8, The Merc, 42051 Main St., Temecula, 866-653-8696, $10, all ages. Visit www.temeculatheater.org for tickets and www.leekochmusic.com for more on Koch.
