Lara Landon, a Riverside native who now lives in Nashville, is on a new Christmas compilation album with Christian music heavyweights Jars of Clay for the band’s charity “Blood: Water Mission,” which has provided water and access to HIV/AIDS education, treatment and support in sub-Saharan Africa.
Other artists on the album include Sandra McCracken, Joy Williams from the Civil Wars and Rhett Walker.
Landon’s contribution is “The Virgin Mary.”

Landon will also be performing a concert in Riverside for New Reality International on Saturday, Dec. 15.
The non-profit’s current project is to aid Haitian orphans and is the development of a children’s village in Trou du Nord, Northern Haiti. Called Project 7, the goal is to develop self- sustainability for the village as well as build a Vocational Training Center for the residents and the surrounding community.
