On Sunday I’ll be at Ontario’s Citizens Business Bank Arena watching X103.9’s Merry Meltdown show that will be opened by Rancho Cucamonga’s own Dose of Adolescence.
The first time interviewed the band was early in 2007, just a few months after i took over the music beat. When I think about hard-working bands in the area (and there are a lot of them), Dose of Adolescence is always at the top of my list.
Here’s an interview I did with Jimmy Ray Brown Jr., Dose of Adolescence’s singer, about the journey to Sunday’s stage.
In the Guide this week we also have an interview with The Dirty Heads, who are also playing the show.
Also playing the show are Orange County’s Lit (I am still loving their new album, “The View from the Bottom”), San Diegans Switchfoot and P.O.D., plus Anberlin and Sick Puppies.
I’ll be there on Sunday and we’ll have lots of photos and more.
And if you haven’t signed up for it yet, go check out the weekly newsletter from the good folks over at X103.9. They’ve been kind enough to include me in their newsletter, too!
