X103.9’s Merry Meltdown show is underway at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

Program director John DeSantis opened the show at 5:40 p.m. by introducing Rancho Cucamonga’s Dose of Adolescence, who won the spot to open the show after edging out nine other local bands at Localpalooza in November.

“We wanted to pay it back to the local community and have a local band open the show,” DeSantis said to the crowd.

Dose of Adolescence brought a pop moment to the evening with their cover of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.”

They also filmed a video for “Never Want to Say Goodbye.”
