Has there ever been a stranger pairing in music than Bing Crosby and David Bowie?
I never get tired of the juxtaposition of these two, and the ridiculous premise that Bowie has no idea who Crosby is. I watch it every year even though they’re singing my least favorite Christmas carol, “Little Drummer Boy.”
I’m a total sucker for Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel.”
My favorite Bowie send-up is still “Flight of the Concords,” though.
As for Bing, you can’t deny his version of “White Christmas.”
Wham! The other outtakes from the “Last Christmas” single are even more disturbing. (Contributed Image)
