Casey Crescenzo, the man behind the amazing cinematic beauty of experimental outfit The Dear Hunter, is doing two SoCal dates before the end of the year.

Crescenzo, a Canyon Lake resident, is playing two solo shows–one at the Hotel Cafe with Riverside’s Naive Thieves on Thursday, Dec. 20, and one at the Constellation Room at The Observatory in Santa Ana on Friday, Dec. 28.

Tickets for the Hotel Cafe show are $12, plus fees, and the show is 21 and older.

Here are the details for the Santa Ana show:
8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, The Constellation Room, 3503 South Harbor Blvd., Santa Ana, $15, plus fees, all ages, available at www.ticketweb.com.

Alternative Press magazine just named The Dear Hunter as one of its “Most Anticipated” for 2013 releases. Crescenzo will be on the cover of the magazine next year for that issue.

I spent some time with Casey earlier this year before he played Coachella 2012. That interview is still up over at the iGuide. I’m really looking forward to what he’s working on next.
