There will be a public memorial service for the late singer and TV star Jenni Rivera, who was killed in a plane crash in Mexico Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

UPDATE: 3:45 p.m. Univision will air the memorial live, according to the network’s Facebook page. Their coverage will begin at 9 a.m. Pacific. The memorial service is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
UPDATE: As of 1:13 p.m., it looks like there are no more tickets available. Our multicultural reporter, David Olson, was able to get a ticket. He will be there tomorrow. You can follow his updates at the Multicultural Empire blog on Wednesday morning.
The memorial will happen from 10 a.m. to noon and a limited number of tickets will be made available as of today, Dec. 18, at noon at www.ticketmaster.com.
Each person can get two tickets for the event. They are limited and will actually be ticketless in order to stop scalping.
You will need a credit card to get a ticket. You will be charged $1 per ticket, but it that fee will be refunded within 72 hours of the event.
You will be required to use the credit card that you used for the transaction, and a valid photo ID matching the credit card, to attend the event.
There will only be a limited number of tickets available and only fans who obtained tickets via Ticketmaster will be allowed entry.
