For those of you who don’t know, I’m from Baltimore. Since the Ravens advanced to the AFC Championship game today by taking down the Peyton Manning-led Broncos, I want to focus on some music from my hometown.
Up first is SR-71, who you might remember from their hit “Right Now.” While I loved that song, “Fame” is another favorite off the band’s debut.
And just for fun, let’s listen to “Right Now.”
Lead singer Mitch Allan is now out here in L.A., but he has been supporting the Ravens on Twitter, too. His latest project is Satellite.
Another Baltimore favorite is Mary Prankster. “Blue Skies Over Dundalk” name checks the Ravens and the Orioles.
If you want more Baltimore tunes, check out Jimmie’s Chicken Shack (who just celebrated their 20th anniversary last night in Baltimore) and Kix, or just watch a John Waters film.
