With the Monday morning deluge of emails, I’m seeing a few more options for the Coachella 2013 lineup.

So who might be heading to Indio for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival April 12-14 and April 19-21? Here’s some more possible artists. (Also, if you want a chance to win a gift card to pick up some camping gear, just tell us who you think will headline Coachella 2013.)

Animal Collective
Animal Collective last played the Empire Polo Club on the Coachella stage in 2011, just after Mumford & Sons. The band’s most recent album, “Centipede Hz,” arrived in September 2012.

The band’s tour stops at the end of March in Idaho and doesn’t include any West Coast dates as of yet. They’re Coachella favorites, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see them.

UPDATE 1:30 P.M: Thanks to readers Nik and Stanley for pointing out that Animal Collective played most of “Centipede Hz” at Coachella 2011. I actually missed the band’s set because I was at Empire of the Sun, if I remember correctly. Maybe Animal Collective just wants to attend as fans and hang out with Dan Deacon. Maybe they’re going to unleash some new material? Thoughts?

UPDATE 7:45 P.M.: An earlier version incorrectly stated that Animal Collective went on before Mumford & Sons in 2011. They actually went on after on the main stage. Thanks to reader Matt Jensik for the alert.

Dan Deacon
Joining Animal Collective on the road will be Baltimore’s own Dan Deacon. It’s been a while since Deacon was at Coachella. He did appear there in 2008.

OMD
OMD, a.k.a. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, have announced that their new record will be released April 9. It will be called “English Electric” and I’ve posted a trailer below.

OMD is the kind of old-school electro act that will do really well at Coachella. I also hope that it happens so I can hear “If you Leave” and “Enola Gay” in the desert, daydreaming about Andrew McCarthy when the former is played.

And just for fun, let’s revisit the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who just played some new tunes at the Glass House in Pomona on Jan. 11 and announced today that their new album, “Mosquito,” will drop on April 16, in between the twin Coachellas. It also may be one of the most disturbing covers ever.

I’ve covered the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Stagecoach Country Music Festival since 2007.
