A Coachella Valley native will be playing the 2013 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

DJ Alf Alpha, who hails from Palm Desert and played Coachella in 2011 and 2012, plus provided a soundtrack for the S.S. Coachella cruises in December, will be at Coachella 2013 April 12-14 and April 19-21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, according to dates posted on his website.

With his growing following and previous Coachella experience, it’s not a surprise to see him have the dates on his schedule.

Tell us who you think will headline Coachella 2013 and be entered to win a gift card for camping gear.

If you want a taste before the festival, you can catch him at his monthly residency with the Coachella Valley Art Scene (who also do great work with the crafts of Coachella every year and have a fun blog) at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Alf Alpha will also be at the Leisure Life night at the Sky Lounge at the Pomona Fox on Friday, Feb. 1.

I really love seeing our local talent on stage at the festival, not only Alf Alpha, but also Gabe Real, Juice, Jimbo Jenkins and Mantastique. I hope we’ll see them all again in Indio.

I’ve covered the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Stagecoach Country Music Festival since 2007. All of the Coachella prediction posts here are tagged with Coachellaology.
