KROQ-FM has been teasing that the Coachella 2013 lineup is “coming soon” since just before 11 a.m. today. My question, to take a page from the not-reuniting-for-Coachella band The Smiths, “How Soon Is Now?”
Tell us who should headline Coachella 2013 and be entered to win a gift card for camping gear.
Point in KROQ’s favor-they’ve teamed up with Coachella routinely in the past and morning show Kevin and Bean has been ground zero for the Coachella announcement before.
However, one year KROQ kept promising the lineup and had to keep pushing it back day after day after day.
Traditionally, additional tickets go on sale for Coachella the Friday after the lineup is released. A pre-sale for 2013 tickets sold out in mere hours last May.
When do you think the official lineup will be announced? Will it be on KROQ or are you relying on Coachella’s Facebook/Twitter/website? Will we all have carpal tunnel from repeatedly refreshing the various pages? Why is this suddenly seeming like the never-ending stream of questions at the end of that old TV show “Soap”?
Once I have the lineup, I promise it will be posted here and at the iGuide Coachella page. If you want to follow me on social media, I’m at @vanessafranko on Twitter, the Audio File on Facebook and on Google+ (just search for vfranko@pe.com).
