The Jezebelles, a group of 13 women who have turned popular songs into choir awesomeness, are branching out and are about to record an EP with three original songs.

To raise funds for recording, the group is having a show at the Mission Tobacco Lounge in Riverside on Saturday, Feb. 2. They will also be debuting one of their original songs at the show.

I first met The Jezebelles about a year ago and they continue to impress me. They’ve also impressed some people outside of the Inland area, having played the House of Blues in Anaheim and winning a spot to perform at the Hootenanny in Orange County in 2012.

Be sure to get to the show early to check out Aaron Lee and the Love Vigilantes and CheetaraRah. Aaron Lee and the Love Vigilantes blew me away when I saw them in town a couple of weeks ago.

9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, Mission Tobacco Lounge, 3630 University Ave., Riverside, $5, 21 and older only.
