Today was a really special day for me. I’m from Baltimore and I’m a huge football fan. I come from a family where the Colts’ Mayflower move 30 years ago is still a sore subject so to see my beloved team in the Super Bowl, and have Ray Lewis play his final game in it was just incredible.

And then, we won.

You might have heard The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” sung by the Baltimore fans. It’s what we do. I was fortunate enough to see the Ravens twice this season–in Baltimore against Cleveland and in San Diego. While the chant was louder in Baltimore (obviously), Ravens Nation showed up strong at Qualcomm. I’ll never forget after the Ravens’ OT win, coach John Harbaugh and running back Ray Rice (who had a game-changing 4th and 29 run in the game) came over to where the fans were after the sideline and thanked us as we sang the “Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhhh.”

And in honor of Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime performance, I’m glad we’re going to put a Super Bowl ring on it.

Sure, everyone does it, but you can’t deny the power of Queen when you’ve won the Super Bowl. I have to tip my Ravens’ beanie to San Francisco, they’re a great team and I expect they will be in the Super Bowl again in the not-too-distant future.
