A couple of years ago, we used to have a regular video series called PE Live (later Audio File Sessions), where local musicians came in and did an interview with me on camera and played a few acoustic songs. It was like “MTV I.E. Unplugged.”

I always had a great time doing it, but other commitments kept me from continuing the video. But I’ve always wanted to bring it back. At the end of 2012, I posted on Facebook, just to see if people would still be interested. I was blown away by how many people were up for coming in.

So I started reaching out to the people who were interested in hopes of getting this back up and running.

The Castle Pines guys stopped by for our first one a couple of weeks ago and then yesterday, three more amazing artists came to the office to do an acoustic performance–Davis Fetter, On Being Human and Science Fiction Theater.

While we won’t have the videos up for a little while yet (big launch coming soon, I promise!), I did want to share some new music from the three artists who stopped by yesterday.

Davis Fetter was the first artist to stop by. Fetter grew up in Riverside and has made some excellent music. Recently, he’s been releasing singles as a solo artist. Here’s one of the singles, “Euphoria,” in its full-blown plugged in glory. He did an acoustic version for us yesterday.

Fetter plans to play more shows this year and has a couple of other singles ready to go in the coming months. One of them he recorded in the desert with Dave Ketchum from Eagles of Death Metal. It’s called “I Loved You So.” Stay tuned for that performance.

On Being Human

Then, the guys from On Being Human dropped by. They just put out a fantastic EP called “eVe.” Here’s “Dream garden,” one of the songs from the new EP.

On Being Human actually performed “Chasing the Sunlight” and “Unforgiving Sea,” two other songs off the EP, for the first time for our shoot. They were also the first band to bring a banjo into PE Live. It was a treat to hear the acoustic treatment of the songs. Stay tuned to see the band play throughout the Inland Empire and Southern California. They will be announcing dates soon.

Science Fiction Theater

Last, but certainly not least, Mike and Jeremiah from Science Fiction Theater stopped by to play some new songs.

Here is the latest one they’ve released, “Illuminating You.”

They’re about to release a new full-length later this year and they have plans to play some shows soon, too.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to come out and talk and perform. I can’t wait to share the videos!
