I have even more Stagecoach Country Music Festival news I’m working on, but here’s a big one–Jerry Lee Lewis, who was originally announced to play Sunday, April 28, has dropped off the bill.

In his place on the poster is the Charlie Daniels Band.

Lewis, 77, a rock ‘n’ roll icon who helped bring the genre to the masses with “Great Balls of Fire,” doesn’t have any show dates posted on his website or any news as to why he’s no longer on the show.

Daniels, best known for dueling fiddles song “The Devil Went Down to Georgia, last played Stagecoach in 2009.

The Stagecoach Country Music Festival will take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio on April 26-28.

General admission tickets ($239 each) and the P2 section of reserved tickets ($799 each) are still available for the show at http://stagecoachfestival.frontgatetickets.com/. Kids 10 and younger get into general admission areas for free. Visit www.stagecoachfestival.com for more information.
