Green Day makes its return to the stage tonight, Sunday, March 10, at the Fox Theater in Pomona, nearly six months after singer/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong lashed out on stage at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas Sept. 23, 2012.

After his tirade railing against festival organizers culminated in smashing his guitar, Armstrong entered rehab for alcohol and prescription drug abuse. The band was forced to cancel and postpone appearances to promote a the completion of their trilogy of albums.
The tour supporting “Uno!,” “Dos!” and “Tre!” picks up soon, but first the band is playing some intimate shows and heading to SXSW in Austin, Texas. The first of the intimate shows is tonight at the Fox Theater in Pomona, where fans have been in line since midnight.
