A number of Inland Empire bands have made the ballot for Tachevah, a Palm Springs Block Party, that is being put on by Coachella promoters Goldenvoice, The Desert Sun and the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, among others.

Three bands will be selected to open the show on Wednesday, April 17, at Spa Resort Casino in downtown Palm Springs. The party is free and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival alum DJ Alf Alpha (a Coachella Valley native) will headline the show.

A number of unsigned artists entered for the chance to open the show and now music fans can vote for who they want to see. Check out the videos of the artists and you can vote through 5 p.m. on Friday, March 22.

Among the artists on the ballot are a few Inland bands (in alphabetical order), including Corona’s Castle Pines, Temecula’s Fly By Night, Redlands-based Hobo Jazz and Riverside’s The Jezebelles, Soul of the River and Banning’s Wade Crawford and The Country Trash.

All five of our local bands are very deserving of a spot. Go check out their videos and the videos of all of the bands on the ballot at the Tachevah page.

The top 10 vote-getters will be judged by Goldenvoice and The Desert Sun and three winners will play Tachevah and get passes to Coachella 2013.
