The Evens, the Washington, D.C.-based indie rock band playing the 2013 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, will also perform a show in Riverside before the fest.
The band features Ian MacKaye, of Minor Threat and Fugazi fame, on guitar and vocals and Amy Farina on drums and vocals.
You can read a little more about the band, and watch the video for the awesome song “Vowel Movement” from children’s TV show “Pancake Mountain,” in another entry I wrote not all that long ago.
The Evens will play the Blood Orange Infoshop in Riverside on Thursday, April 11. The tickets are $5 and ticket sales will open at 6 p.m., doors are at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. You can also pick up tickets in advance at BOIS on Friday, March 22, Monday, March 25, Friday, March 29 and Friday, April 5. The address is 3485 University Ave. in Riverside.
Since MacKaye was in Fugazi, that has a tie to the latest Coachella Band Math infographic, which features Deathfix, the Coachella 2013 band that includes Fugazi’s Brendan Canty. Click to see the graphic in its full glory over at the iGuide or check it out in the small version below.
