The Scenestar reported that Reed’s shows in California around and including Coachella had been canceled. The Goldenvoice page for the Orpheum show on April 17 read “This show has been cancelled due to unavoidable complications.”
The Coachella 2013 poster, which had Lou Reed billed high on Friday, no longer has his name and his name has been removed from the lineup on the Coachella website.
The dates that were canceled were the two Coachella dates, as well as Reed’s performances at the Warfield in San Francisco, the Golden State Theatre in Monterey and the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, the Scenestar reported.
Reed’s website still had the appearances listed as of Monday night.
