The Rolling Stones have confirmed a date for Los Angeles and have announced when tickets will go on sale for the band’s Southern California shows on the “50 and Counting” tour.
The tour will begin Thursday, May 2 at the Staples Center in LA (Note: That date could change depending on NBA/NHL playoffs). The tour also comes to the Honda Center in Anaheim on May 15.
Tickets for both the May 2 Staples Center show and the May 15 Honda Center show go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday. April 15. Tickets will be available through the band’s website.
I haven’t seen the actual prices posted for those dates, but it looks like the other shows on the tour have a special $85 rate in addition to the more expensive tickets. Here’s the deal with the $85 seats, from the Oakland date on Ticketmaster: “Over 1000 $85 seats available in the pit and throughout the arena. Strict anti-scalper measures will ensure that the tickets go to Stones fans and not the resale market. Sold only in pairs with seat location revealed night-of-show. Pick-up tickets night of show only, in person, with Picture ID, confirmation number, and the credit card used at purchase. Once you have the tickets in hand, you will be escorted into the arena. Any reselling or transfer of these tickets will void them with no refund.”
