Spicy Pie may have some competition for best pizza at Coachella.

I love Spicy Pie, don’t get me wrong. At this point I think it’s pretty much a Coachella institution. But just now when I lined up for pizza, I realized I was actually in line for Urban Pie, a mobile wood-burning pizza parlor from Orange County.

As opposed to Spicy Pie, which sells huge single slices, Urban Pie sells individual pizzas. I got the Diavola, which has pepperoni and salami. $12, plus I got the black garlic sauce for an extra $1, which in my opinion was worth it.

Last year I went to Stagecoach, not Coachella, and got a different wood-burning oven place’s pizza. I recall being underwhelmed.

So the question is: What is your favourite pizza at Coachella?
