So last night I checked out the Sahara Tent, for the first time in my Coachella history, to see what it was really all about. I had a blast with the Moby dance party.
It was essentially like being in a nightclub, except you don’t get Moby to DJ on an average Saturday night out. But I wanted to see what it was like in the daytime.
Basically, the spirit was the same, the crowd was smaller. And probably more lucent, but not necessarily. And there was less trash on the ground. I was expecting it would be sweltering in the daytime, but it wasn’t bad, partly because there was a good breeze blowing.
I listened to about half of Danny Avila’s set. The crowd was dancing with just as much vigor as last night’s. I guess if you love to move, time of day doesn’t matter.
