Skid Row’s “18 and Life” might be one of the greatest morality tales of the semi-modern day.

Remember the video? The troubled kid drinks a lot with his friend and accidentally shoots said friend when they are horsing around with guns. Gun safety is serious business.

Now you can hear the song in the flesh when the band plays M15 in Corona on Friday.

Skid Row also had one of the greatest power ballads with “I Remember You”–great acoustic guitar opening, great howling vocals of passion, great hair flailing about in the video.

Fun fact: Skid Row was also the first heavy metal band to have an album debut at number one on the Billboard charts. It was 1991’s “Slave to the Grind.”

7 p.m. Friday, April 19, M15, 9022 Pulsar Court, Corona, 951-200-4465, $25, plus fees, available through Ticketmaster.
