Located between the Mojave and Gobi tents is the Water Bar Oasis. At this bar you won’t get carded as they are serving up different filtered waters from around the globe.
To start your journey, festival goers take a brief poll with questions concerning the water you drink. Bottled or tap? Do you filter your tap water?
After completing the survey, you receive a card, redeemable for shots of the dozen or so filtered waters available.
I tried purified sewer water from L.A. and San Diego, which tasted like the water out of my Brita at home.
Next was a shot of ocean water, followed by a special concoction called moonshine.
The pourers kept telling me that the waters should taste different, but most tasted like pure old bottled water, except the moonshine, which had an odd heaviness to it.
But for five minutes of your time, you get to learn more about water and get hydrated for free.
