After Jeff Bridges and the Abiders’ stellar set on opening night of the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, two other Hollywood icons took the stage on Sunday at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

Up first was John Reilly and Friends. Reilly, who has released some singles on Jack White’s Third Man Records, played an acoustic guitar emblazoned with “Dewey Cox,” the name of the character he played in mock biopic “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.”

Among his friends were Becky Stark, who performed in the Mustang tent earlier on Sunday.

It was a fun set and Reilly charmed the crowd.

“I wish I was wearing cutoffs and a bikini right now,” Reilly told the fans.

After Reilly, Katey Sagal and the Forest Rangers took the stage. Well, to be more exact, the Forest Rangers, which includes Redlands native Davey Faragher, took the stage.

They were joined by guest vocalists Franky Perez, who was also a member of Scars on Broadway, and the great Audra Mae.

Sagal joined the band for the fifth song for a rendition of Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin’.”

The band creates the music for “Sons of Anarchy,” on which Sagal stars as Gemma. There were some shouts for “Gemma!” in the crowd, too.
