More than 100 people have been arrested at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival since it started on Friday, April 26, according to a spokesman for the local police department.
Most of the arrests — none Thursday night, when the campgrounds opened, 52 Friday, 40 Saturday and 12 as of 5:30 p.m. Sunday — have been alcohol-related, Indio police spokesman Benjamin Guitron told reporter Richard Brooks. (Read the full story here.) On Saturday, there were two drug-related arrests and one DUI.
Guitron said police were not called to respond to a fight involving actor Ashton Kutcher and a security guard in the VIP area during the Dwight Yoakam set on Saturday. Festival security handled the incident, he said.
