STAGECOACH 2013: Staying cool at Stagecoach

With the temperature hitting 106 degrees at the Empire Polo Club today for the finale of the seventh annual Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, people were trying to cool off.

One of the most popular items was the misting apparatus. If you had a mister, you were making friends all over the place. People waiting in line at security were spraying their neighbors, kids shot you with mist as you walked by.

In the food arena, one photog buddy reported that frozen strawberry lemonade was sold out at one stand. I saw a lot of people were going with the giant chunk of watermelon. It seems like that would be a cool, refreshing item.

Other ways people were trying to keep cool included using the cooling bandanas Toyota was handing out, waiting in line for water refills, and moving with the shade of the palm trees as the sun moved.
