After nine days over three weekends in Indio, it’s time to bid adieu to the Empire Polo Club and the Stagecoach Country Music Festival until next year.

But, before we do, let’s look at the highlights of the final day of the 2013 Stagecoach Country Music Festival. Click here to find out what happened on Friday and here to get the wrap up of Saturday.

Check out all of our photos from Stagecoach 2013.

Worst repeat act
The temperature hit 106 degrees on Sunday, according to my iPhone. The heat was brutal.

Quote of the day
“I wish I was wearing cutoffs and a bikini right now,” John C. Reilly told the fans watching him at the Mustang Stage on Sunday afternoon. See photos of John Reilly and Friends at Stagecoach.

Longest intro
Katey Sagal was billed as being with the Forest Rangers but we didn’t see her until five songs in. Franky Perez and Audra Mae handled vocal duties before she arrived. See photos of Katey Sagal and the Forest Rangers.

Most unexpected surprise guest
“American Idol” judge Randy Jackson appeared to introduce Charley Pride Sunday evening at the Palomino stage and thanked the country fans for supporting the reality singing competition. See photos of Randy Jackson and Charley Pride.

Riders in the Sky

Best dressed
Riders in the Sky’s upright bass player had a tie shaped like a saguaro cactus. And then there was yodeling. See photos of Riders in the Sky.

Most questionable fashion choice
Zac Brown wore a beanie on stage despite temps hitting 106 during the day. I mean, I know it’s his thing and it was kind of windy at night, but the wind was nothing like weekend one of Coachella and it didn’t merit it. See photos of Zac Brown Band.

Best cover
Darius Rucker’s Hootie and the Blowfish songs do not count as covers, since he was in the band and did a fantastic job with “I Only Wanna Be With You” and “Hold My Hand.” He dropped in a few other covers, but the best was the set-ending cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain,” because “Purple Rain” is always awesome. See photos of Darius Rucker at Stagecoach.
However, apparently the crowd was more into Zac Brown Band’s Metallica cover. They did “Enter Sandman” later in the night.

Repeat celebrity sighting
After a dust-up yesterday (which readers at the fest have told me was blown out of proportion, I didn’t actually see it), Ashton Kutcher returned to Stagecoach and checked out the Palomino Stage again on Sunday.

Radio hit that has been stuck in my head all day
Ever since Lonestar did “Amazed” on the Mane Stage Sunday afternoon, the refrain has been stuck in my head. And then it makes me think of Bill Pullman’s character in “Spaceballs.” See photos of Lonestar at Stagecoach.

Here’s the song, so it can be stuck in your head, too. Or you can check out all of our Stagecoach 2013 coverage at http://x.pe.com/stagecoachhome. Thanks to all of you who contributed and checked in on the coverage.
