There are few song intros that make people perk up like meerkats more than Bell Biv DeVoe’s “Poison.”

I would even argue that intro was the moment New Jack Swing earned its spot in the graph of music history.

Made up of Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe, all who had been in New Edition, BBD also had a hit with “Do Me!” and has been continuing to perform in between the random New Edition reunions.

And speaking of performing, BBD and Dru Hill are coming to the Riverside Municipal Auditorium on Saturday, May 25 for a show.

The floor VIP tickets are sold out, but you can still pick up a variety of other passes for the show, which start at $49 and go up to $99, before fees, at Brown Paper Tickets.

Also, have to give a shout out to Dru Hill since they’re from Baltimore like me.
