VAIL LAKE: Montgomery Gentry plays Rockin’ the Country event

Vail Lake Resort is celebrating the holiday weekend with some country music.

Duo Montgomery Gentry will headline the Rockin’ the Country event on Saturday, May 25.

Active members of the military and their spouses are being admitted for free, with identification. Family members and veterans with ID will receive a 25 percent discount on tickets.

Montgomery Gentry is known for hits such hits as “Hillbilly Shoes” and “Lucky Man.”

Here’s their performance of “Where I Come From.”

Other performers include The Silverados, Del Rio, Blackstar, Dixie Deceivers and The Drinking Cowboy Band.

There will also be a Civil War reenactment, a food truck festival, and if the weather permits, a fireworks display.

General admission for the show is $45 and $65 and VIP tickets are $115 each.

Day parking is $10.
