Scotty McCreery and Easton Corbin are bringing big country to the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival, but Murrieta country rockers Kanan Road are bringing a local flavor to country night on Friday, May 31.
This weekend marks the 30th anniversary of the festival, which celebrates the wineries of the region and hot-air balloons and has become a popular highlight of the year.
Like the festival, Kanan Road has been gaining attention throughout Southwest Riverside County and is starting to draw a wider crowd.
Saturday, June 1 features more rock-oriented music, including All-American Rejects, Eve 6 and Berlin featuring Terri Nunn, the latter of which is the main contender for my 2013 Pat Benatar Tour Award—bestowed upon the artist who plays the most times in the Inland region during the year.
3 p.m. Friday, 6 a.m. Saturday, 6 a.m. Sunday, Lake Skinner Recreation Area, $50 for weekend passes (does not include $5 daily parking), $24 for Friday, May 31, $25 for Saturday, June 1, $17 for Sunday, June 2. There are discounts for buying in advance.
