There is a line of thousands of people  waiting to enter the gates of the stadium at Vista Murrieta High School to see Neon Trees perform tonight.

But before the band takes the stage there are two openers–The Active Set, out of Los Angeles–and The New Division, a new wave inspired band that hails from Riverside.

The New Division’s guitarist, Brock Woolsey, is a Vista Murrieta High School alum.

Although he graduated from the school a few years ago, his art teacher Jason Bowen, contacted him about the Neon Trees show.

“It’s definitely nostalgic,” Woolsey said before the band’s sound check. “It’s exciting to play for all of my friends and family out here.”
