Fontana’s own Sammy Hagar has released a new album, “Sammy Hagar & Friends,” which features the Red Rocker and, you guessed it, his friends.
Again, I maintain that nobody is having more fun in rock ‘n’ roll than Hagar, as evidenced by his further transformation into the Jimmy Buffett of the West. Like Buffett, he’s become more than a mere musicians, an entrepreneur with restaurants and his own brands of rum and tequila. Plus, Hagar covers “Margaritaville” with Toby Keith on the new record.
Here’s Sammy to talk about it in his own words.
There are some new songs, plus some covers. He even performs with some of his old Montrose cohorts.
Also, he covers Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus” with Neal Schon, Chad Smith and Michael Anthony.
And if you missed it earlier this summer, Hagar has a video of him being honored by his hometown of Fontana.
