Live Nation has announced the first artist to be booked for the Riverside Municipal Auditorium when concert promoter takes over the venue this spring.
Pop-rock singer Julieta Venegas will perform in Riverside at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium on Friday, April 18.
Live Nation, which took control of the Fox Performing Arts Center in December, will operate the Muni after the renovated Riverside Convention Center reopens in March. (The Muni has been filling in for the Convention Center.)
Venegas, who sings in Spanish, has performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the past. She’s also taken home multiple Latin Grammys as well as the Best Latin Pop Album for “Limon y Sal” at the 2007 Grammy Awards.
She released her latest album, “Los Momentos,” in 2013.
Tickets are $33, before fees, and go on sale at noon on Friday, Jan. 17. You can purchase them via www.livenation.com or at the box office of the Fox Performing Arts Center at 3801 Mission Inn Ave. in Riverside .
