INLAND: Noa James and Curtiss King join Murs on tour

Two Inland rappers are heading on the road this winter for the Road to Paid Dues tour.

Noa James and Curtiss King, who have been putting out some of the best music to come out of the region year after year with Black Cloud Music, will be joining Murs on the tour, which goes around the U.S. and ends at the Paid Dues Independent Hip-Hop Festival in San Bernardino in March.

COACHELLA 2013 LINEUP: Did organizers hint at Rolling Stones performance?

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival just posted a new photo on the Coachella Facebook page of a spherical object in front of the Santa Rosa Mountains out in Indio.

Here’s my question–is it a round stone, perhaps rolling, on the Empire Polo Club field? Is it a hint that The Rolling Stones headlining rumors may be real? Is it Goldenvoice just having fun with all of the anticipation?

Here are some songs about the New Year that I enjoy. Also, I promise you that the Semisonic song is not “Closing Time.” It’s “This Will Be My Year,” another great song off “Feeling Strangely Fine,” which I feel deserved more attention than just to be labeled as an album of a one-hit-wonder. Dan Wilson is an incredible songwriter and I love Semisonic.
