MERRY MELTDOWN: Sick Puppies demand attention
Sick Puppies have played X103.9’s Christmas show every year.
The Australian trio embodies the spirit of hard rock that the San Bernardino station champions.
From the time the combo got to the stage, it was an onslaught of rock, with leader Shim Moore bounding around the stage with fury, but also melody, backed up by the rhythmic thunder of bassist Emma Anzai and drummer Mark Goodwin.

I always love seeing Lit live and I really like their new record. I first interviewed P.O.D. when I was at Australian Rolling Stone 10 years ago and Sick Puppies are from Australia and knew my bosses and colleagues there.

AUDIO FILES: Listen to The Vandals, No Doubt

AUDIO FILES: Listen to New Kids on the Block’s Christmas album

I just feel like something fun today, so the post won’t feature anything else NKOTB-related (although I will say that seeing them at the Staples Center in 2008 was one of the best birthday presents ever).
