Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah and it’s only appropriate to feature a Hanukkah song for today’s Audio Files. The LeeVees put out a great album, 2005’s “Hanukkah Rocks,” which brought some much-needed power pop love to the holiday. Here’s my favorite song off the album, titled “How Do You Spell Channukkahh?”

Lara Landon, a Riverside native who now lives in Nashville, is on a new Christmas compilation album with Christian music heavyweights Jars of Clay for the band’s charity “Blood: Water Mission,” which has provided water and access to HIV/AIDS education, treatment and support in sub-Saharan Africa.

The first Christmas album I ever bought was the original “A Very Special Christmas.” I remember getting it when it came out on cassette back in 1987 when I went Christmas shopping with my grandmother. I was supposed to be shopping for others, so I ended up with a lecture about why it’s better to give than to receive when I got home.
