Since the news of Atlanta duo OutKast reuniting for the 2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival leaked a couple of months back, people have been wanting to know if it’s a one-off performance or something more.

The band’s publicity firm confirmed that there will be more dates for Andre 3000 and Big Boi after the April 11 and April 18 sets at Coachella–a press release stated that the group will be the “marquee act at over 40 festivals around the world throughout the Spring/Summer of 2014.”

The reunion coincides with the band’s 20th anniversary.

With what came out in the press release, it’s safe to say that OutKast is going to be the common act at the major fests this year.

If you wanted to see them at Coachella (which is set for April 11-13 and April 18-20) and you didn’t get a ticket yet, you’re out of luck. Passes for the festival sold out on Friday, Jan. 10, after being on sale for less than three hours.

In search of some new music? Murrieta’s own Neon Trees has released a new single, “Sleeping With a Friend,” off the forthcoming album “Pop Psychology.”

Singer Tyler Glenn and guitarist Chris Allen grew up in the area before moving to Provo, Utah. Fun fact: Neon Trees actually performed a homecoming show at Vista Murrieta High School in June 2013.

In 2010, the band’s major label debut “Habits” spawned the mega-hit “Animal” and the band’s first round of national and international exposure, with TV appearances on late night shows and tours with big names including 30 Seconds to Mars.

Two years later, Neon Trees followed that up with the full-length album “Picture Show” and a second monster hit with “Everybody Talks,” plus their own headlining tours.

The new album “Pop Psychology” will be out on April 22.

The band has gigs booked with “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday, Jan. 16 and “The Today Show” on Friday, Jan. 17 so expect to be hearing a lot more of the new single soon.

Listen to the song below, which Rolling Stone premiered, and let me know what you think in the comments section.

Tickets for the 2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival have sold out.

The popular music festival, which will hold its 15th edition over April 11-13 and April 18-20 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, draws nearly 200,000 concertgoers to the Coachella Valley during that time.

Coachella promoter Goldenvoice put tickets on sale Friday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. pacific and they were gone less than three hours later.

An undisclosed amount of pre-sale tickets for 2014 were offered in May 2013. Those  sold out within three days.

Coachella switched to a twin weekend format in 2012 (where all 140-plus artists played both weekends at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif.) due to rising demand for the festival.

The 2014 festival will include headlining sets by OutKast, Muse and Arcade Fire. Other highlights on the lineup include The Replacements, Bryan Ferry, Beck, Calvin Harris and more.
