INLAND: The New Danger plays Redlands, Riverside and more

The New Danger has three shows happening this weekend throughout the Inland Empire.

The duo, which started in 2009 and describes itself as “black hoodie blues,” will release debut album “The Shoelace Express” in June and also has a new single called “California Burning.”

On Friday, April 19, the duo will be at Cal State San Bernardino for the “Best of the Bands” competition and on Saturday, April 20, the band is at The Vault Martini Bar in Redlands with Coleslaw and The Paper Crowns. Finally, on Sunday, The New Danger appears at Worthington’s Tavern in Riverside.

Last night I went out to Palm Springs to catch Tachevah, a Palm Springs block party that was free, open to the public and featured performances from Passion Pit, Alf Alpha, The Pedestrians, You Me & Us and The Tribesmen.

When I first started talking to local musicians about reviving PE Live, Corona’s Castle Pines were up for being our test subjects.

I truly believe Castle Pines is going to break far beyond the Inland Empire and their debut EP, “Bless This House” was one of my favorites of 2012.

RIVERSIDE: UCR Barn series returns with Matt Costa and more

The Barn at UC Riverside has announced its latest batch of shows for the spring quarter and they will kick off on Wednesday, April 17.

Evidence and LMNO will be the first performers in this round of shows on Wednesday. Tickets are $12 general admission or $5 if you are a UCR student.
