If you have ever wanted to act out on a revenge fantasy on your best friend’s cheating significant other, The Jezebelles have a video for you.

The all-girl rock choir, which hails from the Inland Empire, just released the video for the awesome song “Chuck You,” which is about getting rid of a no-good guy.

They filmed it around Riverside and you might recognize downtown spots like Back to the Grind, Pixels and Mission Tobacco Lounge. Let ‘Em Have It Productions, which did Alien Ant Farm’s “Let ‘Em Know” video as well as Hawthorne Heights’ “Golden Parachutes,” outdid themselves with this one.

Chuck is played by Sound Preservation Society’s Justin Fox and you will also see cameos from some other Inland musicians in there, too. Watch and enjoy!

The Jezebelles – “Chuck You” – Official Music Video.

Just like the Dose of Adolescence video release last week, we were fortunate enough to have The Jezebelles in the studio for PE Live a while back. You can even watch The Jezebelles perform “Chuck You” in our studio. You might recognize some of the video’s props, too.

We’ve released 20 new PE Live sessions since relaunching the series and The Jezebelles have brought the most interesting percussion yet–pink skulls and pink elephants. (By the way, you can sign up to have PE Live delivered to your inbox every week, too!)

Don’t know what I’m talking about? Watch the group’s performance of “Time Machine” off their brand new 3-song EP below. Let the video keep playing and you’ll hear “Chuck You” and an interview with the group.

The group has two upcoming shows, too.

9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, Mission Tobacco Lounge, 3630 University Ave., Riverside, $5, 21 and older only.

7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, House of Blues, 1530 Disneyland Drive, Anaheim, free in advance, $15 at the door, 18 and older only.

Since the relaunch of PE Live earlier this year, we’ve had so many talented local musicians come in and perform and sit down and talk with me about their music. (Don’t forget to sign up for our brand new weekly PE Live newsletter where you can get the videos delivered straight to your inbox!)

This week we reached our 20th artist–the incredibly talented ladies of The Jezebelles. With members from all over the Inland Empire, the group started performing cover songs three years ago. As the group evolved, they started writing their own original music.

Now the group has a brand new EP, which was funded by fans, and produced by Alien Ant Farm’s Mike Cosgrove.

Watch the video below to hear The Jezebelles talk about the genesis of the group and keep watching to hear two of those original songs.

The Jezebelles have two upcoming shows–one in Riverside on Aug. 23 and one at the House of Blues in Anaheim on Aug. 25. Get more details on the shows over at the iGuide.

Here’s a look at some behind the scenes photos from the PE Live shoot.

Tonight we had a PE Live shoot that was a little bittersweet. I’m thrilled that the lovely ladies in The Jezebelles, the all-girl rock choir, came in and performed two of their original songs for us.

It was actually the final shoot for the studio at our current office. However, with the positive attitude and amazing music of The Jezebelles, there’s better group for the studio finale (not to worry, PE Live is only just beginning).

We started PE Live in that studio back in 2008 with artists like War Stories, Davis Fetter, Anthony Dollar, On Being Human, Electric Valentine, Divide the Day, Soul of the River, Inverse, The Sleeping Sea King, I Hate Kate and so many more. (Some of the artists have since returned to do a second round of performances.)

To all of you who shared your music, rearranged schedules, braved my questions and repeated takes when I screwed up my intro and stumbled over my own name on camera–thank you. To everyone who spent some time watching these performances–thank you for supporting local music and what I do. For both groups–it means a lot.

The great news is that PE Live is stronger than ever. We’ve had more than 15 artists film with us since relaunching the series in March and even more recently we started filming PE Live out in public, where music fans can really be a part of the taping. (Speaking of that, we’ll be at Hangar 24 in Redlands on Wednesday, July 31 for ColeSlaw. Come visit!)

But I will miss our studio sessions and everyone asking if our curved wall was ever used for skateboarding. (It wasn’t.)

The real videos will be coming out in a couple of weeks, but I wanted to share just a snippet of The Jezebelles singing “Chuck You” that I shot with my phone. They will be playing Mission Tobacco Lounge on Aug. 23 and the House of Blues in Anaheim on Aug. 25, so keep those dates on your calendars. You can also pick up their debut EP now. Visit www.girlrockchoir.com for more information.

Reasons I love The Jezebelles–they used pink elephants and skulls as percussion instruments. They’re just that rad.

Keep an eye at http://x.pe.com/PE_Live for the videos with The Jezebelles and check out all of the exclusive interviews and performances we’ve hosted so far. You can also watch a few in the video player below.

RIVERSIDE: The Jezebelles release debut EP

The Jezebelles are the coolest.

The all-girl rock choir, which is based in Riverside although the members hail from all over the Inland Empire, just released their debut three-song EP, which just went up on iTunes. The release was fan-funded.

Alien Ant Farm drummer Mike Cosgrove produced the EP and recorded it at his studio in Riverside.

The group, which has covered a number of songs in a variety of genres, wrote three original songs for the release, including “Boys!” which they’re shown performing in the video below.

I first got to know the members of The Jezebelles last year, when I interviewed them for a story I was working on. Since then, they played the 2012 Hootenanny, recorded the EP, are about to film a music video and just added some new members, too.

Here’s the video I shot back in the day.

The Jezebelles will have their next performance in Riverside at Mission Tobacco Lounge on Aug. 23 with Za, Smear and Crystal and the Cutthroats.
